Music Therapy with Miss Moon

This is the highest wisdom that I own; freedom and life are earned by those alone who conquer them each day anew.
~ Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

" Today is a new day. Hiding from your history only shackles you to it. We can't undo a single thing we have ever done, but we can make decisions today that propel us to the life we want and towards the healing we need."
~ Steve Maraboli

" Don't let yesterday use up too much of today."
~ Will Rogers

Did you ever have a feeling that something huge is coming? It's a strange feeling, one full of anticipation, longing, excitedness and fear. I don't know why, but I feel like something is coming into my life, just past the horizon. I don't know what, but I have a feeling its going to be the first step of a new phase in my life.

It's a great feeling. Scary as hell, but still a great feeling. So today's Music Therapy with Miss Moon song choice is a soulful rendition of a classic from The Beatles by Dionne Farris. I hope that "Black Bird" will usher forth something new and fabulous for all of us.

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

Black bird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
all your life
you were only waiting for this moment to be free

Blackbird fly, Blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.

Blackbird fly, Blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.

Blackbird singing in the dead of night
Take these broken wings and learn to fly
All your life
You were only waiting for this moment to arise

Blackbird fly, Blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.

Blackbird fly, Blackbird fly
Into the light of the dark black night.

Black bird singing in the dead of night
Take these sunken eyes and learn to see
all your life
you were only waiting for this moment to be free
you were only waiting for this moment to be free
you were only waiting for this moment to be free
